A Review of Gacha Club Edition

Gacha is a well known gaming franchise to many people, with games for the PC and mobile Android OS. The Gacha Club edition is an independent release in the franchise. This is an RPG, better known as a role-playing game, and it features the typical famous Gacha mechanics that are known as gachapon. One of the most popular aspects of Gacha club is the fact that you can fully customize a character for a very detailed RPG experience. The fact that players can do a deep dive into a mobile RPG, the same way they can with an Elder Scrolls game on PC or console, is a very positive point.

For players who are familiar with other RPG, battle-style games, like Raid: Shadow Legends, they will get the hang of Gacha Club very quickly. The difference here is that Gacha goes a whole lot deeper in terms of character creation, customization and other aspects that make it a legitimate RPG. In total, players can find over 150 characters that they can name, customize and use throughout the course of the game. You can really soup these characters up with all sorts of attributes before taking them into battle.

At the heart of Gacha Club, it really is a battle game. You can do the whole RPG customization thing with your play-time, but it's all a means to an end, and that end is battling other players in live-time to see who wins in the arena. This makes for a very exciting game that can provide a lot of fun, without having to make any real financial investment.

What Gacha Club Edition Is

At its core, Gacha Club is a battle arena game, where players fight each other with a range of weapons, spells and other cool tricks to see who's left standing. That being said, Gacha goes out of its way to get a whole lot deeper into character development. That's what makes this game stand out among so much competition in the genre. With most other games of this ilk, you have to pay money for character upgrades, or to buy new characters and new weapons. So, what ends up happening is that people with money to spend end up winning every battle. Gacha Club is different in that it's focused on the RPG aspect of character development, which means that you can build up an organic character over time.

This sort of detailed, hands-on gaming is a huge draw for many who appreciate this type of game. Instead of having to break the bank to level up, there are many other things you can do to really bolster your character in this game. In this sense, it keeps people playing and focused on building up strong characters for battle. There's much more to Gacha Club than just the final fights.

There is also a real emphasis on the "club" aspect. You can meet, mix and mingle with other players in the world through this game. You're also able to take it with you and play anywhere, since it's a mobile game. This is a huge step up over so many games that are static and for the PC. The more you play it, the more you can customize your characters, and the stronger they will be. So, instead of money being the advantage with this, it's a player's commitment to leveling up and upgrading their character(s).

How Gacha Club Edition Works

When just starting out with Gacha Club, it's much like a lot of other RPG games you can find. You're going to be prompted to go through the menu and start your character creation. You'll notice the character customization tool that you can use. The good news is that you can continue to use this tool throughout your game-play. Unlike a lot of games like Skyrim and Fallout, etc, you're not just customizing your character to start and then working up an attribute tree. You can continue to make character customization choices as you play.

After creating your character, it's all about playing the game. Unlike so many other games, you will not find the dreaded micro-transaction feature. Gacha Club Edition does not feature this option, and that means that you're not able to purchase material upgrades, character tools, weapons, or anything else. This is actually a new feature for a Gacha game. In every other game in the universe, you can make these upgrades. This game, however, puts all of its focus on the RGP aspect, as Gacha tries to promote a game that players will enjoy for the long-term, taking the time to build a character.

There are also multiple game modes that you can play here. This means that trying out and actually completing these various modes will help you to unlock new features that will help to build your character. It also gives you more of a chance to explore the entire world here. Arenas aren't just rings; they're actual maps, and so there is a lot to do, much like Fortnite.

There are multiple game modes, multiple levels, and a very wide range of custom options to choose for the characters you create. It's one of the most in-depth RPG games available for mobile on the market today.

Features of Gacha Club Edition

There are a whole lot more features in Gacha Club Edition than most people realize. Even people who have played previous Gacha games are amazed by just how many features this game packs in. It all starts with the custom character tool. This is a pretty detailed tool that gives you access to over 150 characters that were inspired by anime characters. There is just so much you can do here, almost as much as you can do with a console character builder. For instance, you can change the body's proportions in a multitude of ways. You have hair and face feature options that allow you to really make a custom character.

From there, you can also choose your character's clothing, and other small features that will make your character 100% original to you and your style. One very cool feature that Gacha offers is the ability to add custom accessories for your character. You can add different pets, an assortment of various props, different sorts of objects, etc. The best thing about this is that you can always go back and change. You're not locked in, and that goes for any aspect of your character. If you want to change attributes and physical appearance features at any time during your game-play, you can.

There are also custom chat features for your character. This is a cool feature in that you can actually program different things that you want your character to say. It's kind of like giving your fighter different catch-phrases and slogans that they can use. This makes the world feel a lot more alive, especially considering that every character you will encounter also has this feature available.

Instead of having to pay actual money to get upgrades, characters in Gacha Club earn currency from playing the game. This is called "EX Points" in the gaming genre, and it's a way that players can use their play-time to gather up enough credit to make these character improvements. For Gacha Club Edition, this is a beloved feature because the pull rates in the game are high compared to other similar games, and other games in the Gacha catalog. "Pull rates" is the term given for the likelihood that winning a level or beating an opponent will reward you with something nice, like a special weapon, something rare, a powerful character, etc. You might recognize this mechanic from other games by the term "loot."

Another strong feature in Gacha Club is that it has a story mode and a battle mode. The Club story offers a setting that's like a graphic novel. Characters speak through the use of text boxes, and this allows you to actually follow along with a story. The cool thing is that the story here greatly depends on what you're doing in the game, how powerful your character is, etc. You play through a level of a story, and then a battle map will open up that allows you to select different stages and different opponents against whom you can battle.

One of the only downsides to Gacha's format is that battles do play out automatically, and you don't get to sit there and fight, like a Mortal Kombat or Tekken game. The game itself takes all of your attributes into consideration, and you basically win or lose against an opponent based on your character development. This is why playing the game is so important for many Gacha players. They know they won't win these battles unless their custom character is very strong and has solid attributes.

Even though you won't be physically controlling every single move of a battle against an opponent (or team vs. team), Gacha still managed to add a "special move" feature. While the battle simulation is running automatically, you can greatly improve your odds of winning the battle by unleashing your special move. Again, really getting into this game is important for developing such special movies. You might be able to get something excellent from a pull, or you might purchase a move from your in-game points you accumulate. By having the right sort of special move, you can have a weaker character yet still win a lot of battles.

Is Gacha Club Edition Worth Getting?

Is Gacha Club Edition a game worth downloading and playing? For people who enjoy this genre of games, it might be a download that's well worth it. There is a whole lot of RGP potential with Gacha Club. The more you play, the more in-game currency you get, which means you can really build your character up. So there is an ample rewards system that benefits people who enjoy playing. A huge benefit here is that it doesn't take you very long at all to start really building your character up. You don't have to win to earn the in-game currency; you just have to play. Of course, winning your battles is going to give you a lot more loot, but just participating through the story mode and in battles is going to help you rack up the points. You can then use these points to build a great character.

Some players also really just enjoy the story, and they like trying to team up with other players to go into battle. This is because Gacha doesn't only feature solo battles. You can actually group together with others and go fight in team battles. This makes the game a lot more exciting.

The graphics aren't the best out there, but that's because almost everything is played out like a comic book or graphic novel. So, you don't have all the 3D action right in front of you, so you don't necessarily need to have stellar graphics. It looks good for what it is, and it's capable of running without lag on most mobile devices.

If you're really into RGP and battle gaming, then this might be a good game for you.
